STEMXplore Education Inc. (“STEMXplore”, “we”, “our”, “us”) operates the website stemxplore.ca and delivers robotics and coding classes for children in Stittsville, Kanata and the wider Ottawa area. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) of Canada.
1. Information we collect
We collect only the information that is necessary to respond to your enquiry, deliver our classes safely, and comply with legal obligations. This includes:
- Contact information — parent name, child name, child age, email address and phone number, submitted through our demo-booking form or contact channels.
- Enrolment and event information — the program or event a child is registered for, session dates and attendance notes.
- Payment information — when you pay for an event online, payment card details are entered directly on Stripe’s secure checkout. We do not receive or store card numbers on our servers.
- Technical information — standard access logs (IP address, browser, referring page, timestamp) generated by our hosting provider for security and diagnostics.
2. How we use your information
- To respond to enquiries and confirm free demo classes.
- To register a child for a class, camp or PD Day event.
- To process payments and issue receipts through Stripe.
- To notify parents about class updates, cancellations or important safety information.
- To improve our programs based on aggregated feedback.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information with any third party for marketing purposes.
3. Service providers we use
To operate this site we rely on a small number of trusted service providers, each of which processes personal information only on our behalf:
- Stripe, Inc. — payment processing (privacy policy).

The public STEMXplore website uses only cookies and local-storage entries that are strictly necessary for the site to work (session state, security, saving your cookie choice). If you consent, we may also enable optional analytics or marketing cookies to understand which pages are useful and to measure the performance of our ads. Our admin panel and coaching dashboard use functional cookies and local-storage tokens purely for authenticated staff sessions.

5. Children’s information
Our services are designed for children ages 5 to 14, but every booking, payment and communication is made through a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under the age of 13 without verified parental involvement.
6. How we protect your information
Data submitted through this website is transmitted over HTTPS. Personal information is stored on Canadian and North-American cloud infrastructure with access limited to authorised staff. Payment card data is handled exclusively by Stripe, a PCI-DSS Level 1 certified provider.
7. Data retention
We retain enquiry and booking information for as long as is necessary to serve you and to satisfy tax, accounting and safeguarding obligations. Financial records are retained in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency requirements. You can request deletion of your information at any time using the contact details below.
8. Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal information, and to withdraw consent to future communications. To exercise these rights, or to raise any privacy concern, please email us at support@stemxplore.ca. We aim to respond to every request within 30 days.
